Alright let me disclose I know nothing about outboards, I've done work on Motorcycles and snowmobiles but I was given a john boat and mecury 7.5hp outboard to bass fish with.
The PO thought the motor was seized because the pull start wouldn't pull but if I pulled the assembly apart, it pulled fine. I took out the plugs and made sure the prop spun freely and so I don't think it's seized.
When I pulled the assembly apart I noticed that things we're lining up and was coming into contact wit the outer edge and what I believe to be called the flywheel?
