I just got a new motor for my speed boat and it's a 1976 Johnson 115hp V4. I'm wondering what is the proper size(ID) and type of fuel line to use for this motor. Should I use the J1527 or USCG approved stuff? Or is the Gates hose at the auto parts store good enough?
I noticed that my Bayliner(1977 Johnson Javelin 85hp), which just had a bunch of work done at a marina right before I bought it, has the regular Gates stuff on it. Which was on the invoice for recent work.
This motor is in great condition for it's age and I'd like to keep it for awhile.
