Prima M50 damper plate

Hi
Does any one know if damper plate needs to be removed, do you need to remove flywheel housing also or can damper be removed after transmission is removed?

And if some one has done that was it a difficult job?

Thanks
Jani

As a general rule, you'll block up the engine, remove the gear, and then remove the flywheel housing to access the damper plate.

Another good rule to to ALWAYS use new bolts to secure the damper plate to the flywheel...

"difficulty" is usually driven by access - some engine rooms are like a Marriott - some are like a bathroom closet....poorly maintained <rusty> installations can be a major hassle as well....

Thank you. Access to my motor is quite unpleasant. I need to laydown on my belly and reach to bottom.
Well first my problem was that it had this clattering sound when gear was on and revs were low.
Yesterday i got my boat on water and that sound was now idle revs too. It goes away when i get my revs more than 1000-1100 rpm.
