Is the p/n 5001344 the same power pack as the 585224 but, the 5001344 has the small jump wire adapter?
Original pack 584767 - replaced by 5000014 - replaced by 5001344

Yes, these power packs have a rev limiter, which is connected to the temperature switch in case engine runs too hot.
I believe the small jump wire with the 5001344 power pack is for that lead going to temp switch. Because the 5001344 has a female fitting and the 585224 has a male fitting.
Both power packs are stamped CD2SL/6100 and I was wondering if the only difference is the small jumper wire.

Why would the overheat sensor be connected to the rev limiter?
