Over Heating 225 on muffs

Have a 0x66, 225, 2 stroke that can run all day idle for hours and never sound off. But when I trailer it home and flush out the salt water with the muffs on the hose at 60 psi it is not long before the over-heat horn starts screaming. Has anyone else had this problem? I tried all kinds of different muff's and still the horn sounds. Thanks for the read. run out.
 
How old is the impeller ?---------Water at pressure may have a lot of air dissolved in it.----That then creates air pockets in the motor and the horn goes off.
 
My best guess at that impeller age is about 4 years.But we have dragged the lower unit in sand navigating the dangerous waters of hatteras inlet a few times if you know what i mean. Thanks for the reply, sounds like time to pull the lower and rebuild that pump. GOD BLESS
