outdrive lube bottel ?

1999 7.4 mpi bravo drive does the switch in that bottle hook into the same alarm circuit as heat and oil pres?. when the switch comes on is one wire to ground? and the other to alarm circuit? thanks for any help

Just a comment - I disconnected the bottle last spring when I changed the lube and found it full of sludge at the bottom

Sludge becomes common to find on the bottom of the bottle with this gear oil type...The bottle should be cleaned about every otherish gear lube change. The sludge tends to make the float alarm sensor become sticky after awhile....Sometimes even cleaning the bottle won't stop the alarm and a new bottle is needed.
