Boat runs well and strong but there is a problem. Water is flowing out of the engine! There is water mixing into the oil and it is leaking out the engine too.
What was strange while the out drive was still connected to the water supply water continued to flow out of engine. Is is a bad gasket at the intake or out flow or at the head. I try to keep my boating costs down by doing my own work but I am no motor head.
I was doing an oil change and noticed the water in the oil and then I noticed the water seeping out of the engine. it is a raw water system and it is doing its job at keeping it cool. I bought in the DC area so it has lived in salt watern since 1989
PS before I started my research I didn't know stuff like water intake/ exhaust or even the head gasket stuff. Its a nice old boat and I'd like to keep it running
