Are you using a DVM equipped meter or a regular meter with a DVA adapter.

If the answer to both is NO then you are not getting the proper reading.

Plus, you need to specify "what" you are measuring (where is that current coming from) and what rpms you are testing at - all of those variables will dictate "what voltage" you should be seeing. Also, depending whether you have the 9 or 16 amp stator, the voltages will also be different.

The stator actually produces AC power. That's why you need a DVA to "convert it to DC which can be measured"...
