No power the dash

None of my gauges are working on my 2002 caravelle 4.3 v6. I jumped 12v from my fuse box to one of the purple wires on the back of the gauges. They all started to work again so I know the problem is that I’m not getting 12v to the gauges. I traced the purple wire all the way back to the engine bay connection and it was all good no breaks in the wire. When I tested for 12v on the purple wire (pin 5) on the engine side of the wiring harness I got nothing. Not sure where to go from here. Any idea on what I should do now?

White fuse on the starter.... If you put a jumper carefully between the battery positive and the orange wire on the Alt and everything comes back to life.... Then the white cube fuse on the starter is popped.

There is no fuse on the starter or cable coming from the battery to the starter.

There has to be a battery cable from battery + to large post/terminal on starter.

It is on the starter main post with the battery cable. Unless it was modified.
