Neutral Saftey Switch Adjustment on 01' 496 with ZF trans

Hi folks,
my starboard neutral safety switch seems to be out of adjustment (or going bad). I have to wiggle the shifter to get it to start. I found what I think is the switch, but it looks like a sealed unit. Otherwise my shifter shifts and feels normal. So I doubt it's a cable adjustment.
Any ideas?
Thanks
Jeff

The switch itself is not a serviceable item, you replace it if bad. No angular position adjustment.

You can check it with a test light and a jumper lead. In Neutral, there should be continuity between the contacts. if you remove the switch, "neutral" is with the switches pin "out". An ohm meter really won't test the condition of the contacts.

I'd be inclined to verify the cable adjustment is correct before pulling or trading switches.

Only other failure point is with the ball that actuates the pin. It is driven thru the control valve.
