I have a 70HP 1979 Evinrude outboard model 70973R.
Rebuiilt the carbs and in the process of changing the water pump this weekend.
However, when I disassembled the carbs the piston for the choke solenoid came loose and I cannot get it to work correctly.
I am wondering if anyone has a picture or can take a picture of the choke solenoid and the connection to the choke, as well as the throttle arms just so I can ensure it is all connected correctly.

Don't know if this forum allows pics posted in replies, but if someone can PM me a picture or I can give someone my email address.

Thanks in Advance,
Brian

That’s the best one I have on my phone
That is great!!!
I have the stuff cable that connects to the choke valve, but mine has a J hook on the end that goes to the solenoid itself and doesn't have the ring type thing yours does. I'll have to see if I can order a new pin or whatever it is called and see if that makes a difference.

Thanks again for the picture!
