The last time I was on the lake my 1984 Mercury 25 hp outboard would pulse at full throttle. It was like it was having a fuel issue. Finally, after being on the lake for a couple of hours the motor just died like it ran out of gas. Could not get it started again. Suspecting a fuel pump problem I removed it and opened it up. Diaphragm and everything else looks good. Does anybody have any ideas what might be wrong. I also checked the fuel filter and it was clean.
