MFS20D no Spark

The exciter Coil reads 18.5 ohms and output is 20 volts AC. Is this correct.

12.5 to 18.8 is normal resistance. You need DVA to read output.

I measured 20 volts ac between the leads with the motor cranking from the starter.

You need DVA. But how's the coil ohm out?

18.5 ohms between the two wires on the coil. Nothing to ground.

And the coil secondary?

the exciter coil has no secondary, I suspect you are referring to the ignition coil.

the ignition coil primary .3 ohms, secondary ( without plug caps) 8.6 K ohms
pulser coil 207 ohms.
plug caps 4.2 K ohms and 4.5 K ohms.
oil pressure switch opened at about 3.5 psi.
all interconnecting wire checked point to point good.

considering the value for the exciter coil you provided I intend to change the CD unit to correct the problem.

Does sound like a CD problem
