Mercury 75 HP 4 Cly Brown Band ? ser# A116960

Hi Everyone, Ive enjoyed all of the helpful info everyone has posted I need to know if this Motor is a 84 or 85 or 86 ? Told it was a 84 but may be a frankinmerck for all I know SER # is 116960 I found a stamp on the shift throttle side 112884 see photos any info would be great I need to order parts to try and get her going this year. Also is this a *Mercury* or a *Mariner* ??

That decal set-up was only used in the 84 / 85 years.----If motor is factory black it is a Mercury.

These motors were common over many years.-----There is nothing specific about an 85 model year that is different from others years.---Decals / cosmetics changed from year to year.
