Hello, My son has a pontoon with a 96 mercury 60 Bigfoot that started going into "limp mode" when he took it out for the first time this season. The carbs were rebuilt last year. I replaced the plugs, checked the fuel lines and pump, checked for any problems with the prop, checked the water pump and impeller ( the water stream is strong and not hot), checked the head temp with heat gun while running down the lake and in the driveway with temp not going over 160. I could put my hand on the head for a few seconds without being burnt. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
