On this motor where shift cable attaches to engine shift rod slide, is this latch able to be replaced without pulling engine?
The diagram is crap and looking at it on engine I really can't see how it comes off? On the rear end there is a bolt which I assume is holding it on the actual slide rod?
Currently the shift cable fits on, there is a little plastic piece (which sends to be broken) that slides over cable end, but it does not lock and if I move cable it pops right off.
Waiting patiently for a correct answer or if anyone has a good pic of it all together so I can get a good look at it.
