Mercury 25xd not keeping a prime

So I just got a mercury 25xd it ran good for like 30 minutes on the river then died
It would run just fine with me priming the bulb but it would still die so I put a fuel pump gasket kit on it an I get the same results so I took off the fuel filter an ran a straight line to the carb an still it will die an then I just prime the bulb it run good again I'm not sure it really got me stumped

I think it is but it ran good before the fuel pump went out it just died on me after 20 to 30 minutes in an had to prime it to get back to the dock an when I got home I check the fuel pump diaphragm an it was like sucked in so I replaced it an I still have the same problems I think it might be the fitting for the gas hose but I don't kno if that would cause my primer issue it runs good until the bulb gets soft
