mercruiser running problems

i have a mercruiser 305/5.0 will start and run for about 30 min turn the key off will not start again, seems like when it gets hot will not start again, temp gauge is normal, will turn over ,but will not fire please help

try advancing the throttle at least half way when you try to start it hot. as soon as it starts, close the throttle so the rpm stays ~ 1200 or so for a minute. then pull it back to idle and go on about the next action.

Carb. ? Check the choke if it operating correctly.

Let it idle after a run for 3-4 minutes, before you shut it off. Makes a big difference.
