Mercruiser 3.0L bearings

I have a question to a problem I having. I'm rebuilding my mercruiser 3.0L it is a 1999. I purchased some crankshaft bearing and they are Mahel brand. The problem is that the oil hole of the bearing does not line up with the oil hole on the block. I have read that it is ok while ours say its not as long as the channel in the bearing does. So what is the proper answer?

Why not drill or slot the hole out? Long as you do an eat job of it you wouldn't have to worry.

I had thought about that. Hard to do it acturate and neat.

Easier to just get the correct bearings.
