Hi, hoping you guys can help.
Boat is a circa 1986 Fletcher (British boat) we have been restoring.
It has a mercruiser 3.0 and alpha one drive.
Originally it had an alpha 1 generation 1 transom assembly and leg.
We have invested in a brand new (2012 model) generation 2 transom assembly and leg. It is has been on display so never in the water or used.
We are using the original flywheel bell housing and 3.0 engine.
Since swapping the transom the alignment seems way off. The engine seems much to low.
Are there different bell housings on later models? We have the spring washers and fibre washer under the mounts.
Or does it sound like sagged rear mounts? ( They are the originals as far we know)
After spending hours fibreglassing a new floor in and thousands on new transom and leg we are pulling our hair out.
Any advice would be gratefully received.
