Merc 6.2 mpi bravo 2 . Engine runs smooth in neutral all rpm ranges. Under load, it runs fine up to 2000 rpm. From 2000 to 3000 rpms it starts miss firing, coughing like it's running out of fuel, then from 3000 -4000 rpm runs perfect. This is the rpm range where we are trying to get up on step, and giving it the most fuel.
Had fuel cooler module replace earlier this year (rotted out from corrosion). Mechanic said pumps were ok, and replaced fuel pressure regulator. I just pulled all the injectors and sending to get cleaned and flow tested. Once we get them back I plan to do a test run with fuel pressure guage under load. Any suggestions?
