Okay had a stroke of luck I found this manual on the NET its a complete manual for the 48, 50, 55 and 60 hp 2 Cylinders. After you download it using Winace, you will be asked for a password and it is ribforum

Sorry to be pedantic but this manual is for 3 cylinder Mariner/Mercury models - 2 cylinder units are different. Awesome manual for 3 cylinder units though, very detailed.
