Mariner 50hp 4 cyl, 4 stroke 2001. fitting an engine tacho.

Hi, Can anyone tell me where on a Mariner 50hp 4stroke, 4 cyl 2001, the gray lead from the Tacho goes to on the engine.

Do you know the complete engine ID?

In a number of older motors the tachometer lead comes from the coil that generates electricity for the rectifier/regulator.

Hi, Thank you. I don't know the engine ID, there are numbers on the right side of the upper leg but I cant read them sadly, are there any other numbers anywhere else? Do you know the colour of the lead ?
