Looking at buying a '76 35HP as parts for a '78 35HP.. 0389729 is the part I need, but the parts store for the '76 shows this..
0389729 ← 0388258
I guess the original part (388258) was superseded with the 389729? If I buy the '76 and it has the superseded part, will it fit on the '78? Looks like a lot of parts in the case were superseded so wondering if there's essentially 2 different gearboxes, and the earlier one won't work?
