New to the boat engine crowd but not engines in general. But have a question. I am buying a pontoon boat with a 2003 75hp Mercury 2 stroke that has low hrs. 63hrs is what the dash shows on the boat it ran last year but has sat since then. What should I check ? Should I do a full service just to know where the engine is at?
The boat trailer and Boat and motor are the same years. From what I got from my friend, an older gentleman bought it and he passed and they never used it and it sat till my friend bought it hence the low hrs.
