My Kohler 5e genset started runnning roungh, on shutdown something (electical powered) kept running had to use battery shut off to stop it.
Closer examination leads me to belive the starter is continuing to run even after gererater starts. On last attemp i shut it off with the batt switch then turned bat switch back on and the generater cranked? After sitting a few minutes i could return the battery switch on and all normal.
Does anyone familar with starter circuits know if this would be a starter issue or a problem with the solenoid?
