" I have a 84 Ranger boat with a 89-90 Johnson GT150.
The harness to the tach and guages (temp, trim, volt) is pretty well butchered . Ineed to find out what wires are supposed to be connected from the motor to the instruments. Can you help?
I have a diagram from Ranger, it does not cover the engine and instruments. I have a Seloc manual that shows the wiring on the motor but does'nt show where they are to be connected to guages. "

I am interested to see what others might have to say about your question.

I have the OMC Service Manual for that engine and the wiring diagram included doesn't show gauges either. I have had other people ask about it and I always thought that the gauges would be included in the wiring diagram for the "boat". The OMC wiring diagram obviously covers the ignition, starter, etc., ... but not gauges.
