Johnson 6R73S carburetor question

Hey guys, I have an older Johnson 6hp model 6R73S that I'm rebuilding a carburetor on. The schematic shows a lead shot in the float bowl but I can't seem to find it during disassembly. What's the function of the lead shot?

Just looked at just one of a dozen or more carburetors like yours.-----You will find it on the bottom of the float bowl.----In the old days they used simple manufacturing.----They drilled a passageway for fuel to flow.-----On your motor the idle fuel comes through the high speed jet-----Then a passage way up the side of the bowl.----After the drilling is done they plug it with a lead shot.----Simple and correct.-----Look at it and it will explain itself.

The 1973 model 6 hp is a wonderful motor and easy to maintain.------Consumable parts are everywhere and reasonably priced.
