Shift handle is NLA.

Any suggestions to fix this so that the spring clutch is permanently "engaged" making it a fixed drive motor?

Does the Tohatsu or Mercury lever not fit?

My 1st thought , but I dont think so

Alternatively I guess you could just put it into gear, whip off the power head and remove the upper shift rod

Shift rod is a single piece but maybe possible to jam it in position somehow

Or , because it's the spring type clutch used on the small engines, not a dog clutch, was wondering about removing the shift rod and sealing of where it enters the gear case

I have a Tohatsu 3.5 and a Johnson 2.3 here in the workshop, both levers are visually the same, haven’t removed them to check compatibility but I’d put good money on being able to swap them over Vic.
