Johnson 185 outboard price?

Hey everyone!

New to the forum, just wanted to hear some people’s thoughts on what my engine would possible be worth, I believe it’s a 1986 (I’m probably wrong on the year) johnson 185 V6 2 stroke outboard. It’s in running shape as I had it running last year, but the boat I had it on is trashed and was going to part it out? I’m in Canada, so if you have a price please tell me it’s worth in USD or CAD!

The 2 strokes have lost a lot of value recently.---Your is 35 years old and even though it runs it may need a lot of work.------Your location ?------Some areas may have more demand then others.

Located in Saskatchewan, I inquired a month or so ago online and it seemed as the Johnson 150’s fetch around 1500-2000

If I remember correctly, the 185 is what the 235 became, when OMC started Prop Rating their V6s

Wrong.----The 185 was the 3.500" block and not the bigger bore 235 HP model !!
