It appears I have a 1946-50 Johnson 2.5 hp

It appears it has a different points ? Set up like I’ve never seen bfore
does anyone have any info or know anything bout them ?

Just a little different.----They work the same as any others.-----Clean them and set them at 0.020"----Have a few sets kicking around in boxes under work bench.

Part #580016.  I suggest taking the point sets completely apart, carefully noting the many small pieces. Degrease everything and clean/polish the contacts individually. Reassemble and set the gap to 0.020". Do one set at a time so you have a sample for reference upon reassembly. Those points are still available, at an outrageous price. so it pays to do it right and make them last.</p>
