1971 mercury 9.8
Hey guys i tore this motor to replace the exhaust gasket and I didn't use any sealant and it still was leaking. Now I have it apart again and noticed this washer was raised just a tad but enough to make an impression on the gasket. It will not go down any farther because of the copper tube. Is this normal or should I take alitte of the bottom off? Thanks
