Is the 250 rear engine flange the as SBC V-8

Is the rear engine flange of the 250 the same pattern as on a sbc v-8?

FYI, the 250 that Mell is asking about, is aka the Merc 165, 250 cu in 6 cylinder engine.......... not the 250 hp V-8.

I thought so, but it's been a while for me, and I wanted to be sure.

Mell, this allows for the standard SBC Volvo Penta flywheel cover to be used on the GM 250 cu in 6s.
(see Mell's volvo penta thread)

Yes, until we mix greases that are incompatible with one another..... then we have an issue.

Volvo AQ series PDS bearing cavity, for example.
Once you begin with a certain type, best to stick with it, otherwise viscosity may be reduced to an oil like viscosity.
