Intake/carburetor

I have a 90 Mercruser with a stock 454ci, fresh water only. It has a cast iron spread bore intake manifold with a Q-jet carb. The engine cover height has 1/2” clearance at most.
Does anyone know of a good dual plane intake that will work, and most likely putting a Holley carburetor on it.

The stock manifold works fine, especially with the peanut ports.

If you want to go aftermarket, Weiland makes the 8122...it will take either square or spread bore carb design...you will have to verify clearance, especially if you are changing carbs...Haven't looked in a while but there used to be a few 'low profile' flame arrestor options from the aftermarket...
