I recently came by a 6HP Johnson that I am trying to get going. I am having trouble identifying this motor. The plate states that it is a Model CD-16, I looked that model number up and found it was for a 1959 Johnson 5.5hp.
This motor clearly states that it is a 6HP. It has a fiberglass top cowl and looks just like my 1970 4hp Johnson. I did a picture search for a 1959 5.5hp, this motor looks nothing like that. Does anyone have any ideas what this may be?
