I have a 150 HP oil injection Evinrude. The problem is that it is very hard to start and I have oil on the the back of the transom, runs rough. is there a way to remove the oil injection safely or repair?

Are you pushing the key in while cranking it over ??------Also charge battery , have battery load tested.----Take starter apart for cleaning , inspection , ohm check on armature.---Possibly new brushes.

I will load test the battery. It takes like 30 to40 min. to get it startedand some times the pops out of gear when trying to start. The battery is a brand new battery. Thank you for the reply

Some will argue.-----The flywheel must spin fast for the ignition to fire.----So take starter apart for inspection.

Heavy smoke and hard starting could be a bad cap on oil tank causing it to flood the carbs with oil
