How to bleed Tilt and Trim for a 1989 yamaha 90hp?

I just bought a boat with a 89 yamaha 90hp and the tilt and trim does not hold the motor up. The guy that i bought the boat from told me that he just replace the new washer for the release valve, but couple day after i bought from him the motor start to slow drop down by itself again. The guy told me to bleed the system and i have no clue so can anyon help? Thanks for advance cause it is my first boat.

if your sure the manual release was replaced and the end cap seals arnt leeking and you have filled resivoir in the up position after triming down then up down/up check fluid repete special tools are required to test further. a good used unit may be the answer

question for 'need to know' . . . . the resivour is topped off with the engine locked up and the trim pistons fully retracted?
