I could use some help deciphering the differences between a 2004 150hp lower unit and a 2018. According to boats.net, the gear case part numbers are different. Looking at my 2004, there is a bearing carrier on the prop shaft that the newer lower unit does not have.
Can I bolt on the 2018 Lower to my 2004 and be good to go?
