Help? Force 50 HP 507f5a Copper water pick up fell out

I was recently given a boat with a Force 50 hp. I pulled the lower unit to replace the impeller and the copper pick up tube fell out. I have tried everything I could think to get it back in but can not see where it connects to the head? DO I have to pull the head to reconnect? Thanks

No, just push it back up in there.
The top of the tube might have a rubber bushing that could be blocking the hole??

OK I tried using a snake camera but couldn't find the hole. I will give it another try. Thank you
