Have a 87 50hp Mariner alam going off

I have a 87 50 hp Marner auto oil blend has been removed so I mix 50:1. After about 10 minutes running 5000rpm alarm will sound and will clear when I complete throttle down. Water is flowing through tell tale. What could be the cause?
 
The only alarm you should get on this is a heat alarm.

Even with a good tell tale you may be getting an overheat, or just as likely, you have a temp sensor that is starting to die.
 
Pull plugs and look for water droplets. Put hand in telltale test temp.should be able to hold in there indefinitely . Place hand on head while running for a six second count, hand should not burn in that short time.
