Hard Jolt, now won’t start. 94 40hp Johnson

Ran fine last time out.
On way home boat was jolted pretty hard stopping wise. Now turns over but will not even pop.
Did put in new Champion plugs before I knew.

Before I tear into it any ideas?

Check gear oil.------Check flywheel key.

I meant to say, this was on the trailer and came to an abrupt stop.

Pulled flywheel. No problem.
No spark. Gas mist coming out plug holes.
Going to work back from there.

I'm unclear... Are you saying you were on the road & stopped fast, or you were power-loading the boat on the trailer & came in too hot?

On the road and stopped very fast.
Boat ran great before. Then when I went to go fish would not even pop. Checked at home, no spark.
Motor turns over but no spark.
