Greasing the tilt shaft on a 225

Is it just me or is it very difficult to get a grease gun onto the two tilt shaft grease points with a standard grease gun when you've got hydraulic steering? Should I just replace these nipples with 90 degree fittings or am I missing something?

And if I'm replacing them, any idea what size they are?

Smaller grease guns are available along with the cartridges

I'm not sure it's really the gun - it's the gap between the grease nipple and the steering ram that's just a bit too small for the gun nozzle/connector.

I have two guns and neither fit

I changed mine to 90 degree as I had the same problem, now much easier to lube. Sorry I can't remember the thread size.

Pulled one out this morning and it's acting like it's an M5 thread which seems to be pretty difficult to find in a 90 degree!

If I recall correctly, I get to them by lowering the tilt all the way, then steer hard over one way to get to the opposite nipple, then hard over the other direction to get to the other one.
