Gimbal Housing Repair

Has anyone used the Sierra 18-8311 gimbal housing rebuild kit on an alpha one.

No, and I would advise that you not use it either.

There is a kit available to be welded in, but I advise against that to. Find a new transom assembly and replace the whole unit.

Thanks for your input. I think I will research for more information on this kit. It is offered by most of the marine sites.
