Fuel pump question

I need some help, I have a '91 Evinrude 115hp model TE115TELEIE. I'm going to change from VRO to fuel pump #438556 I would like to know if I can run my fuel line from the new pump and have it loop and come into the top of the fuel manifold that the VRO line connected to? If not how would I connect my fuel line back in?

Also, I think the new pump has a fuel filter in it, would I still have to use a separate filter like I am now with the VRO setup?
 
As I mentioned I’m changing the VRO pump to pump #438556. I received the new pump today and it looks to be 5/16 going to the carbs and on the inlet side it looks bigger than 5/16, it looks like it could be 3/8. My fuel line coming into the motor is 3/8 and then the pre-bent U hose is 5/16 going to the VRO. Do I have to change the connector where the fuel line connects to the motor? Is it supposed to be 5/16 on the inlet connecting into the new pump.

What do I have to do if it’s 3/8 where mine is 5/16 to make it work?
