Hi. I was replacing the water pump on my GT100 and found the inside of the motor cover in black splotches. The upper gasket of the exhaust boot was ripped. I cleaned it all and ordered a new set of gaskets for the exhaust.
The new upper gasket fits and looks just like the old one, but it doesn't seem to fit tight. I'm concerned that this is why the old one ripped.
Question: should I put a little gasket sealer or 847 under the gasket to keep it in place?
