Evinrude VR60 no spark

Hi,
We took the boat out last year and ran it for a good few hours and then we had issue of solenoid sticking with ignition. I managed to change the solenoid and ignition yesterday but now the engine turns we are getting no spark. Any ideas on what to do?

With no spark the first thing to check is the emergency stop circuit. Provide your model number please

It's a VR60

Numbers on side BJ60TLCCR Ser no. B 7666616

I don't know if this is what you want?

BJ60TLCCR is the model number which tells us it is a 1988 long shaft 60 with power tilt/trim. Those are good motors. When you said "I managed to change the ignition" what exactly did you do?

We changed the barrel but the one we changes was slightly different. pics attached.

So you changed the ignition switch, not the ignition. It is possible you have done something wrong when wiring that switch? On one of the M terminals there should be a black wire that goes to ground and the other M terminal should have a Black/Yellow wire that goes to the man overboard kill switch as well as the power pack
