Evinrude Throttle cutout switch

Hi my customer has a 1974 85esl74 85hp. I am trying to locate the "Throttle Advance Cutout Switch" as I am unable to locate it in parts drawings. . Seloc book 1308 mentions testing this switch if the motor will not start on page 6-21.

Can someone tell me where this switch is located, or maybe a part # ??

Could it also be called a neutral safety switch. Does it not turn over at all or does it turn over and not start.

1974 does not have a safety switch on the throttle. They discontinued it because it was overkill because there is a neutral start switch in the remote control. Will only start in neutral.

Exactly, and agreed. That is the neutral start safety switch in the remote control. No safety switch on the throttle on the motor because it is no longer needed
