Evinrude ? Johnson parts compatability

I have a Johnson 135ESL75E and have the opportunity to have a later model OMC V4 (Evinrude V4 135hp) to use for part. Are the V4 engine parts similar horsepower engines compatible on these OMC engines please.

The only later model 135hp than your 1975 model would be the 1976 135hp model. Yes, a lot of those parts interchange.

In 1977, the hp went to 140hp..... nothing worthwhile interchanging there or later.
