Evinrude ETEC Tachometer System Check Alarms

I have a 2015 ETEC250DPX that intermittently beeps (less than one second) a tachometer system check alarm and flashes one (most often 'HOT') or more of the warning lights, always at lower RPM (<2500), averages about one time per hour of running, . I always have water flow, engine never goes into slow mode nor shuts down, and always starts right back up when I turn it off. Seems odd. Does it sound a connection problem? Do I perform the SystemCheck Circuit Tests in the service manual to further troubleshoot? Thx in advance.

When was the last time the water pump was changed? The best bet is to find a technician that has the BRP software (or acquire it yourself) and look at the temperature data stored in the EMM. That information, along with any error codes, will help you properly diagnose this problem.
