Engine won't start

So I'm hoping I can get some help.. I have a Mercury Black Max 150 and just uncovered the boat for the season. When I go to start it, it keeps cranking and when it sounds like its about to start up the engine just stops everything (No more cranking or anything)... Also, I don't know if they are related or not but I don't hear the self check beeps in the beginning either.

What year and SN?
Did you charge the battery?
Is it a good battery...how old?
Did you use a fuel preservative when you put it away for the winter?

Drain your carbs and if it looks like a heavy oil mix there is a oil check leaking from oil injection looks like a tee . had this problem with a pair of 1993 2.5 200hp and burned up starters always trying to start for first time each weekend . if battery is good may have to change starter
